The CES is delighted that the Government has praised schools with a religious character for their important contribution to community cohesion.

In a vision statement, Faith in the System: the role of schools with a religious character in English education and society, which is signed jointly by the Government and the providers of all faith schools with a religious character, the position of faith schools is firmly reinforced at the heart of the English education system and the provision of schools.
