CES comment on PwC study re: School Leadership (22nd January 2007)
*

CES comment on Independent Study into School Leadership by PriceWaterhouseCoopers, commissioned by the DfES

The Catholic Education Service notes that the recent PwC report on school leadership acknowledges additional opportunities for leaders in schools to reflect what is asked of schools by the Government, but calls for assurances that headteachers will be given the freedom to lead without the fear of too many constraints.

At the same time as this report was being prepared, the CES became involved with a prestigious succession planning project at the National College for School Leadership.  Oona Stannard, Chief Executive and Director of the CES was pleased to attend both key NCSL meetings and some of the PwC stakeholder meetings in 2006.
