Election documents from the Catholic Bishops' Conference of England and Wales (22 April 2010)
*

The Catholic Bishops' Conference for England and Wales have prepared a number of documents for Catholics in this election time.

Choosing the Common Good presents some of the underlying principles and values by which we seek to construct a just and civil society. In Choosing the Common Good the Bishops of England and Wales present some of the key themes of Catholic Social Teaching in the light of some of its recent developments and of the changed conditions in contemporary Britain.

This is available in both English and Welsh from the Catholic Bishops' Conference for England and Wales' website, or can be downloaded below.

The Bishops have also prepared some issues and questions which may help inform your decision on who to vote for. The Bishops state that they are open questions with no single ‘right’ answer, but from the responses given you may form a better idea of how far any particular candidate will be addressing the needs of the common good.  This list is not exhaustive.

Please download below or visit their website http://www.catholicchurch.org.uk/catholic_church/events/general_election
