The CES works closely with the National College for School Leadership on the vital issues of succession planning and nurturing future leaders for our schools.  You will find information about all our activities in the Latest News section of the website but here you will find summaries of an independent annual report on headteacher vacancies ("The Howson Report") and guidance from the NCSL for governing bodies on the recruitment of headteachers and senior leaders, available by clicking on the links to the left and below.  You will also find a link to our DVD, Leading a Catholic School: the best job in the world!

National College Leadership Pathways 2011 

The registration window for the National College Leadership Pathways 2011 programme is currently open but will close on 23 September 2011.  The programme is designed to support senior leaders and those aspiring to senior leadership in all schools. 

 

The Download below contains an email from Best Practice Network who has been contracted by the National College to provide the programme, giving details of Leadership Pathways and how to register, together with an accompanying fact sheet.  Please note that there are no plans for the National College to continue the programme in its current form beyond this intake.
