Education Sunday - Letter
*

23rd January 2006

Dear Colleague,

EDUCATION SUNDAY – PRIZES THAT LAST!

I wrote to you in December over this year’s celebration of Education Sunday.  Education Sunday falls this year on Sunday, 12th February 2006.  For many schools, across England and Wales, this will be the first Sunday of their half-term break.  However, we hope that the material that we are sending out a week today will provide resources for your assembly on the preceding Friday.  The material comprises a letter from Oona Stannard, Chief Executive of the Catholic Education Service on the vocation of the teacher, a resource sheet on “Prizes That Last” and a CD with an interactive assembly based on the theme.

The assembly itself is too large to send electronically so you will receive this in the post.  Can I place on record my thanks to everyone who had a part to play in the production of this material.

In thoughts and prayers.

Yours sincerely,

Fr. Joseph A. Quigley

National Adviser for Religious Education
