It was with great sadness that the CES learnt the tragic news that Dermot Gogarty, Headmaster of St John's Beaumont RC School, Old Windsor, died in a car accident on Monday 21st November.

Dermot made an exceptional contribution to Catholic education, including serving as Chairman of the Catholic Independent Schools' Conference for ten years.

We would ask you to remember Dermot, his wife Kathy, and their five children in your prayers.

The funeral Mass for Dermot will take place at 11.30 on Friday 2nd December at the Church of the Immaculate Conception (Farm Street, London).
