Message to schools from the Chief Executive:

I am delighted to be able to tell you that the CES has put together a PowerPoint presentation, which you might find helpful for the start of the academic year.  In the wake of the Olympics and the aftermath of World Youth Day, we have joyous things to celebrate!  The PowerPoint presentation highlights that everyone is special and has unique talents.  It draws, in image and text, on the events of World Youth Day and the Olympics and offers film footage from the Pope’s visit to World Youth Day in Sydney.

I am grateful to those colleagues and diocesan advisers who have advised us during the production of this presentation.  We hope that you will enjoy it and we would greatly welcome any feedback.  Please send your comments to Laura McCann e: lmccann@cesew.org.uk t: 0207 901 4854.

Wishing you every blessing for this academic year.

Oona Stannard

Chief Executive and Director

Catholic Education Service for England and Wales
