News from the livesimply network

  • If you attended the liveit! sixth form conference in Manchester on March 14th 2008, download conference resources at: www.cafod.org.uk/liveitThe conference showed just how important it is to take action on climate change and the event celebrated the fantastic leadership being shown by young adults in the Church and Catholic schools and colleges on the issue of living sustainably.  As it says on the website:

Everyone was invited to become a leader in their community, college or school, to spread the message about the need for global solidarity to protect the earth and it's people, and to fight for our planet!

  • The liveit! site also contains specific resources to help encourage leadership by sixth formers - the new liveit! Leader Award, co-signed by CES Chief Executive and Director, Oona Stannard, enables students to have a permanent record for their portfolio, showing that they have been leading the way in campaigning, fundraising and raising awareness of the need to live sustainably.  Check out http://bigdeal.cafod.org.uk/action/liveit/leader2/leader
  • Members of the livesimply network (including CES) met on 9th April 2008 to discuss the next stage of the livesimply concept.  Watch this space for news on phase two!
