‘Diversity and widening the talent pool’: new NCSL tool

Overcoming particular barriers to headship is the subject of a new online session developed by NCSL to support best recruitment practice.  This is part of the Tomorrow’s Leaders Today section of the NCSL website (www.ncsl.org.uk/tomorrowsleaderstoday).  The tool looks at the experiences of women and black and minority ethnic school leaders, using data to show that there is a pool of talent currently being under-utilised, and also considers the new models of headship that are emerging.
