The CES works closely with the National College for School Leadership (NCSL) on the vital issues of succession planning and nurturing future leaders for our schools.  You will find information about all our activities in the Latest News section of the website but here you will find summaries of an independent annual report on headteacher vacancies ("The Howson Report") and guidance from the NCSL for governing bodies on the recruitment of headteachers and senior leaders.
