On the recommendation of the CES Census 2007 Working Group, the CES established a Data Group with the aim of building on the successful collaborative work of the CES Census Working Group and establishing a coherent approach to data collection and management.  The CES wishes to draw on members’ collective practical experience and expertise to ensure that:

·         data useful to the CES, dioceses, colleges and schools is collected with a minimal burden placed on those providing the data;

·         data is managed and processed in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act;

·         data is organised and distributed in formats appropriate to the end use;

·         there is appropriate support available during the collection and distribution of the data.
