Government consults on school meals

The Department for Education and Skills is currently consulting on the report published by the School Meals Review Panel which makes recommendations for new nutritional standards for school lunches in England, and a range of supporting measures.

The consultation runs until the end of December and can be obtained from http://www.dfes.gov.uk/consultations or by phoning the DfES's publication order line on 0845 60 222 60.

The CES will be preparing a response on behalf of the Catholic sector. We would welcome any comments you may have. Comments should be sent to Peter Walsh, pwalsh@cesew.org.uk, before 5th December.
