Education and Inspections Bill receives Royal Assent (8th November 2006)

The Education and Inspections Bill received Royal Assent on 8th November 2006 and is now an Act of Parliament.

The CES is pleased that provisions relating to transport and employment regulations for support staff have been secured, and that the Government did not include a provision relating to quotas in admissions to schools with a religious character.

The State Opening of Parliament, including the Queen's Speech, was on 15th November.
