14-19 Implementation Update
*

Letter from Department for Education and Skills:

31 March 2006

In December 2005, we launched the 14-19 Education and Skills Implementation Plan. This sets out in detail how we will create a system of 14-19 education that matches the best anywhere. It lists what needs to be done and by when, not just for Government, but for everybody with a stake in the 14-19 reforms.

As we begin to implement this ambitious programme, it is important that information on progress is shared, and that upcoming actions and events are publicised.

To this end, we have established a newsletter – ’14-19 implementation Update’ – the first edition of which is enclosed. This is part of a wider, developing communications strategy. In order to ensure as widespread a coverage as possible, the newsletter has been placed on the 14-19 gateway: www.dfes.gov.uk/14-19/ .

We intend to circulate hard copies widely for future editions, and to establish subscriber lists. I would be grateful if you could make everybody in your organisation with an interest aware of the internet link above.

Yours Faithfully,

Hannah Woodhouse
