On Wednesday 8th February 2006 Liberal Democrat peer Lord Taverne raised a question in the House of Lords asking the Government for details of their plans to extend faith Schools.

In response to this question the CES prepared a Briefing Paper for Viscount Bridgeman who spoke on behalf of Catholic schools in the Debate which followed. A copy of this Briefing Paper, which highlights cameos of Inspection evidence from three Catholic institutions reflecting the ethnic diversity, different locations and inclusion factors applicable to Catholic schools and Colleges, is attached.
