CES rejects the spurious allegations of Accord, a new coalition opposing faith schools (29th August 2008)

'It is a shame that at a time when we should all want to focus on getting the new academic year off to a good start we are diverted by hoary old chestnuts, misleading about what faiths schools are, who they are for, and what they do. In the Catholic sector we are going to continue putting our backs into working for the best possible outcomes for each pupil in our care and for the wellbeing of society...'

CES PowerPoint for schools - Ordinary Girl, Ordinary Boy: Extraordinary Person (1st September 2008)

The CES has put together a PowerPoint presentation that schools might find useful for the start of the academic year. In the wake of the Olympics and the aftermath of World Youth Day, we have joyous things to celebrate! The PowerPoint presentation highlights that everyone is special and has unique talents. It draws, in image and text, on the events of World Youth Day and the Olympics and offers film footage from the Pope’s visit to World Youth Day in Sydney.
